This is Soka Gakkai President Daisaku Ikeda's Daily encouragement for October 8th:
"When you encounter a wall, you should tell yourself, 'since there is a wall here, a wide, open expanse must lie on the other side.' Rather than becoming discouraged, know that encountering a wall is proof of the progress that you have made so far. I hope that you will continually advance in your Buddhist practice with this conviction blazing ever more strongly in your heart."
This encouragement really made my mind rest a little bit easier now that I've come to my own wall, where it feels like I've come to an abrupt halt after a long string of success. I know that I can look back at what I've done, and realize that there's something more grand waiting just ahead of me and to not give up with what I'm doing. I hope that this is just as helpful for anyone else who reads this.
